New Toll Tax for Manesar to Gurugram-Faridabad Route What You Need to Know

Residents and commuters in NCR will now have to pay toll tax to travel from Manesar to Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sohna as the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has shut down the U-turn near Kherki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.

Key Changes & Toll Charges

  • The U-turn from Manesar to Delhi has been closed due to safety concerns.
  • Car drivers will now have to pay ₹85 at the Dwarka Expressway cloverleaf to continue their journey.
  • Heavy vehicles will have separate toll rates based on their type.

Why Was the U-Turn Closed?

NHAI cites accident risks as the primary reason for this change. The closure follows a road safety survey by Almondz Global Infra Consultant Limited, which recommended shutting down the U-turn to reduce traffic collisions near the toll plaza.

Impact on Local Residents & Traffic

  • The closure affects over 10,000 residents in 35 residential societies near Sector 68 to 85.
  • Commuters will now have to use alternative routes, increasing travel time and costs.
  • Heavy vehicles rerouting through Rampura Chowk may worsen traffic congestion in the area.

Alternative Routes

  1. Manesar to Gurugram: Use Dwarka Expressway via Rampura Road & Dadi Sati Chowk to bypass toll charges.
  2. Sohna/Faridabad to Manesar: Take Sector-76-77 main road to access the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.

Residents Protest Against the Decision

Local industrial associations and RWA (Residents Welfare Associations) are demanding the reopening of the U-turn, citing inconvenience and increased expenses. Letters have been sent to the Deputy Commissioner requesting reconsideration of the move.

What’s Next?

With growing opposition from local residents and businesses, authorities may review the situation. Until then, commuters will need to adapt to the new toll system and alternate routes. 🚦🚗
